Hello Lovelies!
We know, it has been quite some time since we last reached out, but your patience has paid off ⸺ we have some incredible new developments to share with all of you! As you may know, here at Mylofleur we take biophilic design to new heights, testing the limits of convention and design, and this time we had the pleasure to do so alongside renowned designer Preston Bailey under the guidance of Greg Vang.
Together, with our combined efforts, we were all equally gratified to make this event, “[something] different,” as described by Preston Bailey himself on his instagram, @prestonrbailey, when showcasing the whimsical setting put into place for bride Laruen Fuchs and her now husband Lawrence Fuchs. What made it so different you might ask? Through a massive effort produced by a small army of talented workers, we were able to transform the entire ceremony and reception area to look as if it was engulfed by a magical ice storm, producing an idyllic winter wonderland. From frosted icicles hanging from the ceiling to glacial waterfalls dewing the gravity-defying altar, the design truly was a surreal experience fit for an ice princess.
But, where were the flower arrangements? That is what truly makes this wedding a unique spectacle; for the usually expected bouquets were left in the garden for the majority of the wedding and instead were replaced by eye-catching crystals and, as suggested by the Groom’s mother (Lana Fuchs), the previously aforementioned waterfalls that stood gracefully behind the Bride and Groom as they solidified their bond to one another in this loftful ceremony.
But don’t worry! We of course were still able to implement our unique biophilic architectural design with the beautiful installations of two majestic trees that towered over the guests. They created a lush, rich experience, cultivating a picture-perfect focal point to commemorate the lively nature of this spectacular occasion. But as stunning and natural as they appeared, the process of creating these daunting pieces was far from it. The construction of these showpieces required not only creativity but also innovative problem solving as our team tried to surmise how to possibly construct our vision. Luckily, with our expertise in biophilic-based architecture, the once problematic structures soon developed into beautiful creations that left guests breathless, wondering in awe as to how it was done.
The entire experience, while challenging, was incredibly fulfilling. Not only did we get the opportunity to provide immense results as a part of Preston Bailey’s design-directed process, but our team also had the opportunity to work under the direction of Greg Vang in order to make this whole event possible; and what a unique and exciting experience it was! After many sleepless nights and intensive rationale with Greg and our team, we somehow managed to produce the vision that both Preston Bailey and the client shared for their commemoration in only one month. That remarkable feat could hardly have been done by just anyone, but between Greg Vang and yours truly we were able to make the impossible possible.
On a personal note, I wanted to thank all of those that supported us in making this possible ⸺ not only my wonderful permanent crew, but the many individuals involved with our non-profit: Land to Land (aka Tierra a Tierra). Whether it was assisting directly with Mylofleur’s projects, or personally assisting Greg Vang during the whirlwind that is setting up a wedding in Las Vegas, each and every one of them stepped up to the plate and most certainly made a home-run in everything they did. I have been deeply grateful to have them as part of my team during this strenuous yet highly sought after opportunity.
We cannot wait for more of these opportunities to come our way. It was a pleasure to work with both Preston Bailey and Greg Vang, along with the many other organizations and individuals that made this fairytale come true. Always remember to never give up hope in those fairytale dreams, for those dreams really do come true if you believe. This wedding is evidence of that.
Xoxo,
Mylo
