Hi everyone!

Now I know what you’re thinking if you follow us on Instagram (@mylofleurflorallv if you don’t know) – where are the destination wedding photos from Cancun?!?! I think that event deserves its own blog post, it’s one of our favorite projects we’ve done. Some background info, MyloFleur is international. If you need floral or art installations in another country, Mylo is your girl! 

Tons of prepping and planning goes into a destination wedding in order to be sure you have all the proper materials and tools with you when you arrive on foreign land. Along with the weeks and weeks of schematic and color design concept creation, we have to be sure we pack all of the essentials in order to deliver a beautiful and transformed space for your special event.

Once we arrived in Mexico, we unpacked our suitcases and began to organize our game plan, starting with a trip to a local floral distributor to pick up our pre-ordered garden roses. There were 2 days of floral processing along with a site visit to spatially assess the tasks for wedding day. On the day of, we arrived at the gorgeous venue, Blue Venado, and began installation of the ceremony arch, photo wall, sweetheart table, and all tables centerpieces. For the arch, we used dry palms and garden roses to create a tropical array of color and drama, which we also translated to the photo wall and sweetheart table. We assembled minimalist centerpieces with roses and pampas and surrounded them with local fruits, yes real fruits! The final touches on the venue were collections of colorful candles that really tied the space all together. And for the most special part of all wedding day productions, delivering the bouquet and boutonniere to the bride and groom.

After all the stress of design, planning, and production was over, we danced the night away and enjoyed a beautiful wedding reception with the Cerdas. An absolutely incredible experience for MyloFleur and will result in our new category of event design biophilic installations: Destination Weddings!
